EP08.41: Fetal adrenal grand: zone‐targeting dimensional measurement and Doppler studies in normal and growth‐restricted fetuses
Zonal structure of fetal adrenal grand, low echoic definitive zone (DZ) and echo genic fetal zone (FZ) can be recognised. Moreover, plural adrenal arteries (middle adrenal artery (MAA), inferior adrenal artery (IAA) can be identified using recent ultrasound imaging. MAA was assumed to supply mainly to FZ. We studied availability of these measurements and changes during gestation with or without FGR. Zonal dimension and Doppler measurement of fetal adrenal were technically accessible. The changes in FZ/DZ, MAA-PI suggested to represent functional maturation of fetal adrenal gland, which seemed to be well preserved in growth-restricted fetuses.
