EP17.51: Ultrasonographic signs and Caesarean scar pregnancy: experience from Bizerte Maternity Unit
The aim of this study is to examine the ultrasonographic signs observed in Caesarean scar pregnancies among patients at the Bizerte maternity unit and to describe these findings in the context of the clinical management of CSP. Ultrasonographic findings in the study revealed the gestational sac's mean diameter was 18 mm. The myometrial thickness averaged 3.2mm, delineating the structural involvement in CSP. Among these patients, embryonic presence was noted in 80%, with 55% exhibiting fetal cardiac activity. The peritrophoblastic hypervascularization was find in 85% of cases. Ultrasonographic imaging plays a pivotal role in the early detection and management of Caesarean scar pregnancy, showcasing distinct signs that aid in diagnosis.
