EP09.42: Prenatal ultrasound diagnosis and prognosis analysis of fetal aortic arch and its branches anomalies

To summarise the prenatal ultrasound characteristics of fetal aortic arch and its branches anomalies (AABA), explore the diagnostic value of four-section approach for fetal AABA, and analyse its prognosis. The clinical data and ultrasound data of AABA fetuses detected by four-section approach in Fujian Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital from October 2017 to October 2022 were retrospectively analysed. A total of 1,049 fetal AABA patients were included in this study, including 15 cases (1.4%) in the double aortic arch group, 738 cases (70.4%) in the left aortic arch group, 157 cases (15.0%) in the right aortic arch group, and 139 cases (13.2%) in the other group. AABA can be combined with intracardiac and extracardiac abnormalities. The incidence of chromosome abnormality in isolated AABA and non-isolated AABA was statistically significant (P < 0.001). There was an overall difference in live birth rate among different prognostic risk grades (P < 0.001). Of the 798 live births, 690 were examined by postnatal echocardiography, and 49 (7.1%) were inconsistent with prenatal diagnosis. Different groups and types of fetal AABA have different ultrasound characteristics. The detection rate, combined intracardiac and extracardiac abnormalities and chromosomal abnormalities were different in each group. The prognosis of fetal AABA mainly depends on whether there are intracardiac or chromosomal abnormalities. The four-section approach is of great value in the diagnosis of fetal AABA. Abstract

AABA can be combined with intracardiac and extracardiac abnormalities. The incidence of chromosome abnormality in isolated AABA and non-isolated AABA was statistically significant (P < 0.001). There was an overall difference in live birth rate among different prognostic risk grades (P < 0.001).
