EP08.46: Comparison of mean uterine artery PI in the second and third trimesters: is it possible that mean uterine artery PI is rising in third trimester?

The aim of this study was conducted with the aim of comparing uterine artery Doppler indices in the second and third trimesters of pregnancy. The present study was a cross-sectional study that was conducted on 100 pregnant women during March 2021 to March 2022. For each patient, demographic information including age, BMI, previous abortion and clinical information including PAPP level, beta MOM level, obstetric history (blood pressure, diabetes, IUFD, etc.) and percentile of fetal weight in the third trimester of pregnancy were recorded. Also, uterine artery PI measured in second and third trimester. The mean uterine artery PI in the second trimester of pregnancy showed a significant difference with the uterine artery PI of mothers in the third trimester of pregnancy (P < 0.05). PAPP and percentile of fetal weight in the third trimester of pregnancy with uterine artery PI in the second trimester of pregnancy had a statistically significant relationship (P < 0.05). Also, PAPP, beta MOM and fetal weight percentile in the third trimester of pregnancy had a significant relationship with uterine artery PI in the third trimester of pregnancy (P < 0.05). 10 cases had mean PI more. than 1.5 in second trimester and 6 cases remain increased in third trimester. 13 cases had mean PI more than 1. All 3 cases with EFW less than 10 centile had persistent increased PI in second and third trimester. We had two cases in which mean uterine artery PI value increased in third trimester compared with second trimester. The PI of the uterine artery in the third trimester of pregnancy significantly decreased compared to the second trimester of pregnancy. But it is possible that mean uterine artery PI value is increasing in third trimester compared with second trimester.
