OP09.08: The study of ultrasound measured relative size of gestational sac and serum progesterone levels in predicting first trimester pregnancy outcomes
Use transvaginal US measurement to calculate the relative size of gestational sac (GSRS) during early pregnancy and explore the clinical value of GSRS and serum progesterone levels in predicting early pregnancy outcomes. Patients who underwent early pregnancy ultrasound examination were selected. Transvaginal 2D-US was used to measure the three diameters of the gestational sac and fetal pole length. Serum progesterone were tested in three days. All patients were followed up until 12 weeks of gestation. The GWs was calculated according to the gestational sac diameters, and GWf was calculated according to the fetal pole length. The GSRS was calculated according to the ratio of the mean gestational sac diameter to the fetal pole length. All patients were divided into the gestational sac deviation group or the normal gestational sac group according to the relative size of GWs and GWf. Differences of GSRS and progesterone were compared between the two groups, and the efficacy of the statistically significant parameters in predicting early pregnancy outcomes were evaluated by the ROC curves. Ultrasound measured GSRS provided a good predictive value for the outcomes of early pregnancies, combining use of GSRS and progesterone levels showed better predictive efficacy.
