CONSEQUÊNCIAS DO USO NEGLIGENCIADO DO LEVONORGESTREL POR JOVENS E ADOLESCENTES

This study aims to evaluate the consequences of the neglected use of Levonorgestrel, a com- monly used emergency contraceptive, among young people and adolescents. A critical literature review was conducted using descriptive and comparative methods, with data sourced from PUBMED, SCIELO, and Google Scholar, focusing on publications between 2020 and 2024. The findings indicate that frequent and improper use of Levonorgestrel can lead to significant physical, psychological, and social impacts on users. The study highlights the need for im- proved sexual education and professional guidance to prevent the misuse of this contraceptive and to promote the overall well-being of young women.
