ESTIMULAÇÃO CEREBRAL NÃO INVASIVA NA DISTONIA CERVICAL – RELATO DE CASO CLÍNICO

INTRODUCTION: It is a common movement disorder that may involve abnormal postures, which can often be tortuous, may include a body distribution, being (focal, segmental, multifocal, generalized or hemidystonia) and associated characteristics, which can be isolated or combined. OBJECTIVES: To analyze the Effects of Brain Pain Stimulation on Cervical Dystonia. MATERIALS AND METHODS: This is a case report of a 26-year-old male patient. He underwent treatment at the Integrated Health Center – Uninovafapi, and presented symptoms and was diagnosed with Cervical Dystonia (CD). In the patient’s care, the Brain Stimulation protocol was used, (TDCS mode time of 50 minutes). Myofascial Release, time of 10 minutes (in the cervical region and MSE), use of Ultrasound Continuous Mode (3MHZ, 0.5 to 1.0w/cm² (cervical region and MSE) and Neural Mobilization of the left upper limb. RESULTS: A minimal but significant response to the transcranial stimulation protocol was observed in the patient’s condition. The approach resulted in a reduction in involuntary muscle spasms, as well as a noticeable decrease in pain and burning in the cervical region and MSE. CONCLUSION: The efficacy of such treatment is proven, it appears as an attractive alternative, however, to optimize the patient’s recovery and significantly improve their quality of life, it is crucial that the treatment protocol is continued, more investigations and future studies are needed to consolidate the solidity of these results.
