Publication Bias in Special Education Meta-Analyses in Korea

The current study aimed to analyze the proportion of reporting publication bias, including grey literature, testing for publication bias, and the relation between grey literature and publication bias among meta-analyses published in Korea. A total of 128 studies published in 17 special education journals were analyzed; first, the number of meta-analyses and those including testing for publication bias has dramatically increased. Second, 46% included grey literature. Third, 35% examined publication bias using various methods. Finally, studies not including grey literature were more likely to involve publication bias compared to those including grey literature. Implications and future direction of research were discussed.
