Pt Nanoparticles Decorated WO3 for High Selectivity and Sensitivity of Triethylamine Detection

Triethylamine (TEA) has a close relationship with us, and TEA is easy to cause great harm to human health. Therefore, in our daily life or industrial production, there is an urgent need to develop a device that can detect TEA in real time. In this work, Pt nanoparticles were deposited on the surface of WO3 by the deposition method, and it was found that Pt-WO3 is very sensitive when exposed to TEA. In all molar proportions, 10%Pt-WO3 shows superior gas-sensitive properties (941.1 for 10 ppm at 150 °C) and fast response (Tres = 40 s, Trec = 34 s). The superior gas-sensitive properties may be due to the selective adsorption of TEA at the homogeneous Pt nanoparticle site from other volatile organic compounds.
