IMPLEMENTAÇÃO DE MEDIDAS DE BIOSSEGURANCA PARA PREVENIR INFECÇÕES CRUZADAS NA CLÍNICA ODONTOLÓGICA

This work addresses the implementation of biosafety measures as an essential strategy for preventing cross-infections in dental clinics. Biosafety involves a set of practices aimed at minimizing or eliminating the risks inherent in dental routines, protecting both professionals and patients. The research was conducted through a literature review, focusing on the importance of using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), practices for cleaning and sterilizing instruments, proper handling of contaminated biological materials, and continuous education for professionals. The results highlight the need for strict adherence to biosafety protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment. It is concluded that ongoing training and updating practices are crucial for maintaining high safety standards and preventing cross- infections, contributing to public health and trust in dental care.
