Mechanistic overview of gut microbiota and mucosal pathogens with respect to cardiovascular diseases

The present study provides a mechanistic overview on the correlation between the gut microbiota and mucosal pathogens and their influence on cardiovascular diseases (CVD’s). The study emphasises the crucial role of homeostatic activity of microbiota to suppress the dysbiosis posed due to the inflammatory responses. These responses trigger the endothelial dysfunction which leads to progression of cardiovascular implications with myriad thrombotic events. The study envisions the role of secondary metabolites to mitigate pathologies which can serve as biomarker in early management of cardiovascular diseases. The role of dietary habits and transplantation of fecal microbiota can minimize the heart related illness is also discussed in the present study. Overall, the present study highlights the comprehensive understanding of the gut microbiota and mucosal pathogens with their cardiometabolic activities.
