THERMODYNAMIC INTERPRETATION OF SOLID HYDROCARBON SOLUBILITY IN KETONE-AROMATIC SOLVENTS
In modern science and industry, the study of solid hydrocarbon solubility in various solvents plays a key role in optimizing the processes of oil refining, petrochemistry and other industries. Understanding the interactions between the components of mixtures is critical to developing efficient production technologies and ensuring high quality final products. The study of experimental and calculated data, as well as a detailed analysis of literature sources, led us to a convincing conclusion that the slope of the solubility graph really plays an important role in determining patterns in solubility processes. This criterion opens up new perspectives for the study and understanding of physicochemical processes associated with solubility. Experiments and calculations were carried out, and the slope of the solubility graph was determined for each solvent composition. The technique is based on an analysis of the dependence of the cloud point of the solution on the content of solid hydrocarbons and the composition of the solvent. This work examines the study of the solubility of solid hydrocarbons in the most common ketone-aromatic solvents. Experimental and computational studies aimed at establishing patterns in the dependence of the tangent of the angle of inclination on the solvent composition and other factors are described. The research results are important for optimizing technological processes and increasing production efficiency in various industries. One of the important parameters characterizing the solid hydrocarbon solubility in solvents is the slope of the solubility curves. This parameter allows one to judge the nature of the solvent, its ability to interact with dissolved components, as well as the rate of temperature change required for paraffin precipitation. The considered problem is related to the need to study the influence of the solvent composition on solid hydrocarbon solubility processes. The hypothesis is that the slope of the solubility graph can provide insight into the nature of the solvent. In this paper the results of experiments and calculations that confirm this hypothesis are presented.
