PREVENTION OF FIRE HAZARDOUS SITUATIONS ON FIELD PIPELINES

The operation of field pipelines may be disrupted due to natural processes occurring during oil and petroleum products transportation. This is due to the physical and chemical properties of the raw materials, the temperature of the transportation environment, operating conditions, flow rate, gas factor and other reasons. The main source of pipeline destruction is corrosion formation on pipeline surface. In order to ensure fire and industrial safety of pipeline system operation in the oil and gas industry, it is necessary to take measures against corrosion and prevent its occurrence. Objective of the study: ensuring fire and industrial safety by identifying the causes of emergency and fire hazardous situations on field pipelines and preventing their occurrence.Objects of study: field pipelines subject to internal corrosion.Research methods: identification of the causes of emergency and fire-hazardous situations on field pipelines and prevention of their occurrence. The main causes of accidents and fires on the field pipelines under consideration have been established. The influence of asphalt-resin-paraffin deposits (ARPD) formation on the course of internal corrosion on the oil pipeline walls has been revealed. Measures aimed at eliminating ARPD are proposed.
