Exploring Influence of Shift Work on Perceived Stress and Shift Work Disorder: A Gender-Specific Investigation
Objective: Working odd shifts has been associated with disturbances in sleep, mood, and perceived stress, along with an elevated risk of future neuropsychiatric issues. Nevertheless, the gender-specific impact of shift work on perceived stress and the likelihood of developing shift work disorder remains relatively understudied. This study seeks to bridge this gap by examining the connection between shift work and perceived stress levels, particularly in terms of gender-specific response.
