Spearheading Into Sustainable Digitalization and Electrification [From the Editor]
A digital twin is a digital replica of a real-world physical product, system, or process. The concept originated in the early 1990s and since then has been widely adopted in simulation, integration, testing, monitoring, and maintenance. Digital twin tools have also been adopted by different industries, such as energy, manufacturing, automotive, and so on.
