ID: 4122034 Successful Software-Guided Antiarrhythmic Drug Initiation and Extended QTc Monitoring: A Case Series on Atrial Fibrillation Treatment
Atrial fibrillation (AF) is commonly managed via antiarrhythmic drug (AAD) initiation for rhythm control. Commonly prescribed AADs require close physician monitoring of QT prolongation utilizing 12L ECGs, and laboratory testing to monitor for electrolyte disturbances to minimize the risk of serious adverse events, including Torsades de Pointes (TdP). We present a novel clinical decision support software (SafeBeat Rx, San Francisco) to remotely enable AAD initiation and extend patient monitoring.
