Virtual shadow puppet generation based on AlphaPose

This study aims to develop a novel motion capture method utilizing the AlphaPose project to support the production and analysis of shadow puppetry. Through precise capture and analysis of human body postures, we seek to enhance the performance quality of shadow puppetry, introducing modern technology to this ancient Chinese intangible cultural heritage art form, thereby facilitating its inheritance and development. This paper provides an introduction to the background and significance of the research, explores existing issues and shortcomings, and provides a detailed description of our methodology and the improvements achieved.
