A Study of on the general public’s perception of dance the and intention to paricipate in Dance Therapy and willingness to participate in dance therapy applying Extended Theory of Planned Behavior(ETPB)
The purpose of this study is to identify factors that affect the intention to participate by identifying the general public’s perception of dance therapy and willingness to participate through a study on dance therapy recognition and willingness to participate in dance therapy applying the extended Planned Behavior Theory(ETPB). In summary According to the findings that attitude subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control factors, which are components of the expanded theory of planned behavior, have a significant influence on participation intention, it can be interpreted that participatory behavior can be achieved only when people have the physical, social, and emotional effects of participating in dance/motion therapy, as well as the thoughts, time, and economic leeway of influential people around them. Therefor, in order to revitalize dance/motion therapy, various studies should be conducted to prove physical, social, and emotional effects by participating in dance/motion therapy by the general public, and it is necessary to find a way to recognize dance/motion therapy through various methods such as promotion through connection with institutions so that the general public can develop a positive perception of dance/motion therapy. In addition, based on the results of this study, men’s willingness to participate in dance/motion therapy is higher than that of women, it is necessary to find a way to induce participation of men as well as women.
