A Study on the Life History of Korean Ballet Pioneer Park Geum-ja

The purpose of this study is to examine the development and significance of Korean ballet through the life of Mrs. Park Geum-ja and to record the findings as part of the history of Korean ballet. The research is based on data collected from documents, video materials, and face-to-face interviews, analyzed using the text interpretation method of life history research from a temporal and chronological perspective. This study emphasizes the impact of Ms. Park’s life and her artistic world on the Gwangju and Korean ballet community, and serves as an important document for preserving the achievements of Korea’s senior artists.
