Design and Analysis of Reliable and High Data Rate Multicarrier DCSK Transceiver With Index Modulation and Noise Suppression

In this article, we propose a novel efficient differential chaos shift keying (DCSK) scheme that delivers the user data using the index modulation-aided multicarrier DCSK with noise suppression (IM-MC-DCSK-NS). In this design, we use the time slot index, and the index of the orthogonal chaotic signals generated via the Hilbert transform, to modulate the user data to enhance the data rate with low complexity. Moreover, we propose to apply the noise suppression method to improve the reliability of the transmission. Moreover, we analyze the theoretical performance of the proposed transceiver, encompassing the bit error rate (BER), complexity, data rate, spectral efficiency, and energy efficiency. Furthermore, simulation results are provided to validate the effectiveness of the theoretical analysis. In addition, the results compared with up-to-date noncoherent chaotic communication benchmarks demonstrate that the proposed IM-MC-DCSK-NS system attains better reliability performance with lower complexity and higher data rate.
