Estimación de la altura de vuelo en aves
Knowing the species and the altitude at which birds fly is crucial for establishing measures to minimize the probability of collisions with aircraft or wind turbines. There are many sophisticated methods to determine the flight altitude of birds, although not all are accessible to everyone. Two steps based on trigonometric principles can be used to estimate flight altitude. The validity of the results depends on the assumptions of the method. Despite the robustness of trigonometric principles, observer biases in data collection can affect accuracy. However, this tool is much more effective, realistic, and economical compared to other methods.
