LESÕES DE TORNOZELO NO ESPORTE: REVISÃO DE LITERATURA SOBRE DIAGNÓSTICO, MECANISMO DE LESÃO E ABORDAGENS TERAPÊUTICA

The objective of this article is to systematically review the diagnostic methods, injury mechanisms, and therapeutic approaches for ankle injuries in athletes. The review was conducted following PRISMA guidelines, analyzing 34 studies published between 2014 and 2024, selected from the PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science databases. The results indicate that early diagnosis using advanced imaging techniques such as magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography, combined with personalized treatments, is crucial for improving clinical outcomes. Early rehabilitation and the adoption of minimally invasive surgical techniques are also highlighted as factors that accelerate recovery and reduce the risk of recurrence. It is concluded that a multidisciplinary approach, including precise diagnosis and adequate rehabilitation, is essential to ensure a safe return to sport.
