Factors Influencing Citizen’s Safety Consciousness for Responding to Future Disasters
In terms of future societies, the diversity and complexity of new disasters are increasing. Given physical measures cannot solely address large-scale complex disasters in the future, elevating public safety consciousness and establishing it as a core value becomes essential. This study empirically analyzed the influencing factors that contribute to the improvement of safety awareness regarding future disaster risks. Citizens' age, whether they were a disaster-vulnerable group, local safety awareness, risk awareness, whether response measures were discussed, and the level of satisfaction with disaster safety policies in the prevention and recovery stages were identified as sig nificant influencing factors. The expected results are anticipated to lay the foundation for policies and systems capable of promoting future safety consciousness.
