Anisotropic generalization of charged isotropic spheres with double equation of state

Abstract We propose a technique to generate a new class of solutions for an anisotropic charged matter distribution. We show its viability as a model to describe an ultra-compact static spherically symmetric star where anisotropy may be a dominant factor. The solution extends some previously reported stellar solutions with or without charge or anisotropy. The interior matter distribution satisfies a double equation of state with two parameters. The parameters affect the gravitational behaviour of the model and the physical features, such as stability.
