O FENÔMENO DO BULLYING: A DICOTOMIA ENTRE A LEGISLAÇÃO INSTITUÍDA E A AUSÊNCIA DE POLÍTICAS PÚBLICAS EFETIVAS PARA O ENFRENTAMENTO NAS ESCOLAS.1

This research, of documentary and field character, focuses on bullying, a common problem in basic education schools, including those in Piauí, little studied and minimally addressed in research in our region. In order to obtain information from teachers from the public and private networks on the subject, involving knowledge about the occurrence, the severity of the cases and whether the curricula of the licentiate courses prepare for criminalization of this phenomenon has occurred recently, little information is disseminated about this approach and also, despite the Anti-Bullying Law having amended the LDB/1996 establishing the disclosure of bimonthly reports by the Schools, the websites of the education systems/schools, do not bring data on occurrences, nor projects aimed at coping, indicating a divergence between what is instituted by law and the practice of the schools.
