Informational and analytical support for mental health support of Ukrainian educators under martial law

This article analyzes the theoretical aspects of the problem of mental health. Based on the analysis of the source base, it was found that mental health as a scientific problem is quite relevant and is being studied by Ukrainian and foreign scientists in the following directions: the impact of traumatic experiences related to war on mental health; ways to restore mental health in the post-war period; study of the influence of various factors on mental health; peculiarities of using adaptive coping strategies in war conditions; the use of psychotherapeutic technologies in providing assistance to victims with manifestations of post-traumatic stress disorder; various aspects of maintaining and preserving mental health, etc. This study presents the main approaches to defining the essence of the concept of "mental health". The author has developed a version of the definition of mental health in educators. The author analyzes the components of mental health officially recognized by the WHO (awareness of the permanence and identity of one's physical and mental self; permanence and uniformity of experiences in similar situations; critical attitude toward oneself and one's activities; adequacy of mental reactions to environmental influences; ability to manage one's behavior accordingly to the established norms; planning one's own life activity and its implementation; the ability to change one's behavior depending on the change in life circumstances). The article cites factors that affect mental health (individual characteristics of an educator; social circumstances in which an educator finds himself; the environment in which an educator functions). The author describes the main states of mental health (resistant, reactive, vulnerable) and outlines the main ways of regulating these states. In particular, the author determined that vulnerable individuals require intervention from a mental health specialist. Persistent and reactive states are regulated by preventive measures such as raising awareness of mental health issues through educational platforms on the Internet space (YouTube channels, websites, sections on library platforms), as well as through online schools (webinars, seminars, etc.).
