Data Visualization in the Era of COVID-19: An Interactive Map of the SECURE-IBD Registry.
Many patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) are immunocompromised, making them potentially more susceptible to severe complications of coronavirus disease of 2019 (COVID 19) including hospitalization, intensive care unit admission, and death (1,2). Consequently, an international collaboration was formed to track outcomes of patients with IBD who tested positive for COVID-19. Surveillance Epidemiology of Coronavirus Under Research Exclusion (SECUREIBD) is a voluntary, physician-driven, reporting database (https://covidibd.org/) launched in March 2020, with the first case reported on March 13, 2020.
