Experiences of Patients With Heart Failure With Providers in Saudi Arabia

Abstract
This study explores the experiences of patients with heart failure with providers in Saudi Arabia. Most participants were men (64.8%) and 45 to 74 years old (68%). The overall mean score of patient experience was 82.81 ± 18.46, with the highest domain being the overall rating of providers at 89.36 ± 19.42. Nurse practitioners were rated higher than physicians across both sites and within each site. The difference in the ratings between nurse practitioners across the 2 sites was not significant. The study findings highlight the importance of adopting the nurse practitioner role in integrated patient-centered health care teams.
