Generation of Thematic Maps for the Vishwamitri River Basin: A Remote Sensing and GIS Approach

This study focuses on the generation of thematic maps for the Vishwamitri River Basin using remote sensing and GIS technologies.By integrating satellite imagery and spatial data, various thematic maps, including land use/land cover, hydrology, soil types, and flood hazards, were developed.These maps are crucial for analyzing environmental conditions, assessing flood risks, and supporting urban planning and disaster management efforts.The study demonstrates the effectiveness of GIS-based thematic mapping in providing valuable insights for sustainable development, conservation, and the management of natural resources within the Vishwamitri River Basin.
