Fast Optical Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces

We report a fast optical reconfigurable intelligent surface based on the critically coupled GaAs photonic crystal cavity with graphene and 2D material based dispersive thin-film. The structure was designed to operate at a 1,050 nm wavelength and for high-speed modulation with the use of a TCO material as a lossy layer.

Abstract

We report a fast optical reconfigurable intelligent surface based on the critically coupled GaAs photonic crystal cavity with graphene and 2D material based dispersive thin-film. The structure was designed to operate at a 1,050 nm wavelength and for high-speed modulation with the use of a TCO material as a lossy layer.
