Compact Photonic Microwave System for RADAR and EW Applications

We present an ultra-stable photonic microwave system generating carrier signals from the L- to K<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">u</inf>-bands. From these sources tunable frequencies across the X-band are synthesized. The system is conceived to be realized within a single 4HU standard 19-inch rack form factor, featuring full automated operation. (Abstract)
