Modifying thermal signatures with the plasmonic phase-change material In3SbTe2
We employ the plasmonic Phase-Change Material In-SbTe<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</inf>(IST) for direct laser-writing of functional infrared metasurfaces, without the need for cumbersome cleanroom fabrication. We demonstrate rapid prototyping of large area metasurfaces for controlling thermal emission, beam steering, lensing and also create IR holograms into IST films. This work paves the way towards modifying thermal signatures of objects and fooling infrared cameras on large-scales.
