Measurement of Raman Gain Coefficients for Liquid-Filled Fiber Multispectral Lasers

Using a referential technique, we measure the Ra-man cross-section, frequency shift, linewidth, and gain coefficients of several solvents at 532 nm and dispersion-correct to 1064 nm. We fill a fiber with <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathbf{CBrCl}_{3}$</tex>, characterize its stimulated Raman spectrum, and discuss applicability for multispectral LiDAR.

Abstract

Using a referential technique, we measure the Ra-man cross-section, frequency shift, linewidth, and gain coefficients of several solvents at 532 nm and dispersion-correct to 1064 nm. We fill a fiber with <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathbf{CBrCl}_{3}$</tex>, characterize its stimulated Raman spectrum, and discuss applicability for multispectral LiDAR.
