Exploring curved metasurface optics

We explore the advantages of creating a meta-surface optical element on a curved rather than planar surface. Extension of the recent notions of meta-surface dispersion engineering to curved surfaces is a daunting challenge, but our analysis shows curved meta-surfaces potentially represent a fruitful research direction for high-performance optical systems.

Abstract

We explore the advantages of creating a meta-surface optical element on a curved rather than planar surface. Extension of the recent notions of meta-surface dispersion engineering to curved surfaces is a daunting challenge, but our analysis shows curved meta-surfaces potentially represent a fruitful research direction for high-performance optical systems.
