Control of Light in Three Dimensions Using Spatially Variant Photonic Crystals

This work demonstrates the ability of spatially variant photonic crystals to control the propagation of light in three dimensions. We explore the design, numerical analysis, and laboratory demonstration of these devices for unique light-guiding applications in the near-infrared spectrum.
