Aliviando o aperto no peito

This study reports the development of an educational technology, in a booklet format, for guidance on screening mammography in a school maternity hospital. This is a descriptive study, in the form of an experience report, on constructing an educational booklet with advice on screening mammography. The development took place in three moments: identification of doubts among users about screening mammography; preparation of guiding questions and answers about screening mammography; and development of a graphic identity. This form of communication was chosen due to its potential to disseminate information and share creative and transformative knowledge. The development of this technology constitutes an advance in popular health education activities since it is a tool with a participatory approach, as it addresses the main weaknesses highlighted by users through their personal experiences and knowledge on the path taken to carry out the screening mammography.
