Application of electromagnetic method to find mineral breakthroughs in the shallow covered area of Gouli gold field in the East Kunlun metallogenic belt
The East Kunlun Orogenic Belt is an essential part of the Qin-Qikun composite orogenic system, the most essential orogenic belt in Qinghai Province, and an important gold ore-producing area in China. The Gouli gold field in its eastern section is one of the most important gold fields discovered in the belt in recent years. However, it is difficult to explore due to high altitude, poor transportation, and shallow coverage. In recent years, the target area for finding ore in the deep area and the tectonic fracture zone under the shallowly covered area has been defined through electromagnetic exploration. Later on, a breakthrough in prospecting was achieved through drill hole and slotting verification.
