PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN MAKE A MATCH TERHADAP MOTIVASI DAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP BELAJAR IPS SISWA

Make A Match is a learning model that encourages students to be active in learning. The make a match learning model was chosen because it offers interactive activities where students can learn from each other to match concepts, strengthen social relationships, and improve cooperation skills so that learning is more interesting. This research aims to determine the influence of the make a match learning model on students' learning motivation in social studies subjects at MTs Negeri Gresik and to determine the influence of the make a match learning model on students' understanding of learning concepts in social studies subjects at MTs Negeri Gresik. This research uses quantitative research methods by implementing a non-equivalent control group quasi-experimental design in the form of pretest posttest to test the differences between the control class and the experimental class. Data collection in this research used questionnaires and tests. Data analysis in this study used prerequisite analysis tests, namely the normality test, homogeneity test, then hypothesis testing using the Independent Sample T-test. The research results show that the make a match learning model influences students' motivation and understanding of concepts, this is proven by the Independent Samples T-Test that Motivation gets a Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05. Understanding the concept obtained a Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.002 < 0.05. ABSTRAK Make A Match merupakan salah satu model pembelajaran yang mendorong siswa untuk aktif dalam pembelajaran. Model pembelajaran make a match dipilih karena menawarkan aktivitas yang interaktif dimana siswa dapat belajar satu sama lain dalam mencocokkan konsep-konsep, memperkuat hubungan sosial, dan meningkatkan keterampilan kerja sama sehingga pembelajaran lebih menarik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran make a match terhadap motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS di MTs Negeri Gresik dan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran make a match terhadap pemahaman konsep belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS di MTs Negeri Gresik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan menerapkan desain quasi eksperimen non-equivalent control group yang berbentuk prettest posttest untuk menguji perbedaan kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner dan tes. Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan uji prasyarat analisis yaitu uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, selanjutnya uji hipotesis memakai uji Independent Sample T-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran make a match berpengaruh terhadap motivasi dan pemahaman konsep siswa, hal ini dibuktikan dengan Uji Independent Samples T-Test bahwa Motivasi memperoleh nilai Sig (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05. Pemahaman konsep memperoleh nilai Sig (2-tailed) 0.002 < 0.05.
