Pembuatan Dan Uji Mutu Sediaan Serum Dari Ekstrak Kulit Durian (Durio zibethinus Murray)

Durian peel (Durio zibethinus Murray) contains active compounds namely alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, saponins, and phenolics which are antibacterial and antioxidant so that it can be used as an alternative active ingredient for facial skin care. This study was conducted with the aim of knowing the manufacture and quality test of durian peel extract serum preparation (Durio zibethinus Murray) the research method used was laboratory experimentation by experimenting with serum preparation and physical quality testing and irritation testing of preparations carried out in the Teaching Factory laboratory of the Yamasi Makassar Academy of Pharmacy. Durian peel (Durio zibethinus Murray) was extracted by maceration for 3x24 hours using 96% ethanol solvent. Serum preparations were made in the form of negative control and 3 concentration formulas of 10%, 15%, and 20%. Quality tests carried out include organoleptic test, homogeneity, pH, spreadability, adhesion, dry time, and irritation test. The results showed that durian peel extract (Durio zibethinus Murray) can be made into serum preparations with concentrations of 10%, 15%, and 20%, and meet the requirements of physical quality tests and irritation tests for good serum preparations.
