THROUGH “SOMEONE ELSE’S” TO “ONE’S OWN”: A DIALOGUE BETWEEN RUSSIAN AND HUNGARIAN CULTURES

The collective monograph continues the investigation of the “someone else’s to one’s own” category in the context of contemporary Russian (Russian-language) and Hungarian literary texts. The semantic category is studied comprehensively, which entails its examination at the level of intertextuality in translations of literary texts and in the development of motifs from classic Russian literature within foreign cultural spaces. The monograph is characterized by its broad linguistic scope; besides the stated research focus on the Russian - Hungarian language pair, it also includes materials in English, French and Polish for comparative analysis. The book is divided into four sections - two on linguistics and two on literary criticism, with contributions from Russian and Hungarian scholars. This work significantly contributes to the development of the methodology for researching the “someone els e’s to one’s own” category.
