Application of microchemical technology in nano-drug delivery system

Nano-drug delivery systems utilize nanoscale carriers to encapsulate drugs, employing strategies, such as structural design, size control, and surface functionalization, to overcome biological barriers and enhance stability and targeting. However, traditional preparation methods often fail to meet the demands for controlled size and structure of nano-drug delivery systems. Microchemical technology, with its advantages of efficient heat and mass transfer, precisely controllable reaction conditions, and scalability, shows great potential in the preparation of nano-drug delivery systems. This review summarizes the application of microchemical technology in the preparation of nano-drug delivery systems, including the principles of micromixing technology, the formation mechanisms of typical nanocarriers, and continuous controllable preparation strategies. In the future, emerging strategies, such as the sequential assembly of nanocarriers through multistep microreactions with kinetic control, are expected to further advance the precise construction and clinical translation of nanocarriers.
