Economic and social impact of Coronavirus C-19 in the informal sector: case of street vendors in Chiapas communities

The present study focuses on entrepreneurial women who work on their own within commercial informality, offering their products daily on the streets, such as fruits, fish, bread, totopo, pot memelita, shrimp, empanadas, pictes, stuffed chiles, white and cocoa pozol (to prepare), cheese and cream, coconut water, cakes and tamales. The health restrictions due to COVID 19 have limited their daily sales, which has impacted their family income to satisfy their basic primary needs. Therefore, it is necessary to study the effects of this pandemic on this human group through an exploratory methodology, in order to understand it and take actions to overcome it.Consequently, we will analyze its effects on this group, combining two types of qualitative and quantitative study, to later make a comparison with a strategic planning tool of the consequences it has had in other countries, to conclude with the results and proposals for improvement.
