Modern aspects of immune pathogenesis and diagnosis of nosocomial pulmonary infections in surgical patients
Infectious pulmonary complications are common in ICU patients. Routine diagnostic methods are not informative enough at the early stages of disease. This review of national and foreign data is devoted to pathogenesis and searching for a new approach in diagnosis and prevention of pulmonary complications. These findings will improve in-hospital outcomes. We analyze the role of antimicrobial peptides, enrichment of commensal microbiota and mucosal immunity in development of respiratory tract diseases.
