Time‐Sequential and Multi‐Functional 3D Printed MgO2/PLGA Scaffold Developed as a Novel Biodegradable and Bioactive Bone Substitute for Challenging Postsurgical Osteosarcoma Treatment (Adv. Mater. 34/2024)

Novel Time-Sequential and Multi-Functional Bone Substitute A time-sequential and multi-functional MgO2/PLGA scaffold fabricated by 3D printed can release H2O2 and Mg2+ in a coordinated manner during degradation. The early-stage release of H2O2 displays anti-tumor and antibacterial effects, while the sustained release of Mg2+ promotes long-term bone repair. This multi-functional scaffold showcases time-sequential therapeutic capabilities, presenting an innovative approach for treating challenging bone defects associated with osteosarcoma. More details can be found in article number 2308875 by Ling Qin, Yuxiao Lai, and co-workers.
