COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF OPTICAL PROPERTIES IN CADMIUM TELLURIDE (CdTe) AND CADMIUM SELENIDE (CdSe) NANOCOATING: A STUDY EMPLOYING BRUS AND HYPERBOLIC MODELS
This study investigates the crucial role of semiconductors in electronic and optical applications, focusing on the unique properties of semiconductor nanocrystals, specifically (CdSe) and (CdTe). Utilizing the Brus model and the hyperbolic band model through MATLAB, we analyze the optical properties concerning the size variation of these nanocrystals. A comparative assessment of the results obtained from both models is presented, with a particular emphasis on the near-infrared region. In addition, the applications of these results in the areas like sensors, photodetectors, and solar cells as an example of its practical importance are described.
