LEVANTAMENTO DE APLICATIVOS PARA IMPLEMENTAÇÃO DA COMUNICAÇÃO AUMENTATIVA E ALTERNATIVA - OLHAR FONOAUDIOLÓGICO

Assistive Technology includes the Augmentative and Alternative Communication area, aimed at individuals with speech difficulties/lack of speech and/or writing skills. It has resources designed to aid communication between users and other people. Speech therapists working in the language area focused on this topic should evaluate and intervene in the choice of the system. This study aimed to identify applications for implementing augmentative and alternative communication categorizing them based on their characteristics in relation to language for the different types of patients who usually use these systems. A qualitative documentary research was conducted, with a free search on the Web, websites and in application stores. It was observed that the applications found demonstrate little articulation for clinical use and some restrict their use by a certain type of public. The article brought the applications used in the social sphere, categorizing them according to the possibility of use and whether or not the category of their use restricts their use for a certain public.
