Identification of turbofan engine state-space model based on flight test data

Abstract The experimental data recorded during flight tests contain rich system dynamic information, which makes it possible to use flight test data for system model identification. Engine state-space model identification based on flight test data can establish an accurate mathematical model of the engine, providing essential support for the design of multivariable engine control systems, engine health monitoring, and fault diagnosis. In this paper, based on engine flight test data, the least squares method is used to identify the state-space model of a certain type of large bypass ratio turbofan engine.
