Numerical simulation research for scramjet inlet separation control

Abstract According to the characteristics of the scramjet, numerical analysis and simulation of its inlet and separation control are carried out. CFD method is used to simulate the scramjet under shock/boundary layer interaction and separation. By setting the overflow slot, the separation zone is sucked out. The results show that the size of the separation zone can be greatly reduced, the inlet flow rate and Mach number can be increased, and the drag force can be effectively reduced. Optimization results and modifications are put forward to improve engine performance, which can also be applied to further engineering research.
