Safety design considerations for conversion of civil aircraft to fire-fighting aircraft
Abstract This paper combines fire-fighting aircraft accident cases, unique mission profiles, and operational scenarios/environments. It analyzes the aspects that need to be considered in the safety design of fire-fighting aircraft retrofitting, risks and coping strategies, proposes a design scheme and safety design requirements for a leakage detection and alarm system with a dual-channel redundant architecture, and carries out a safety assessment, verifying that the system architecture can satisfy the safety design requirements, and is of guiding significance for the design of firefighting modifications to civilian aircraft and the safety assessment.
