Chiral Self‐Assembly and Enantioselective Photocatalysis of Tetra‐(4‐carboxyphenyl) Porphyrin‐diphenylalanine

Abstract Inspired by the photosynthesis and protein structure of green plants in nature, TCPP‐(FF) 4 , a porphyrin‐dipeptide derivative with chiral and optical properties, was synthesized by chemical coupling. The experimental results show that the optical properties and structural morphology of TCPP‐(FF) 4 supermolecular assemblies can be precisely controlled by adjusting the types of solvents and pH. Moreover, the TCPP‐(FF) 4 can self‐assemble into nanohelix with photocatalytic activity, which can be used as a catalyst for enantioselective photocatalysis of tyrosine (Tyr) into di‐tyrosine (di‐Tyr), which provides a promising strategy for the development of enantioselective photocatalysts.
